Unusual design of the minimal showroom of men’s fashion clothing from Renata Kucerova from Brno, Czech Republic.
Residents of Brno — the second largest city in the Czech Republic (after Prague), which is located in the south of the country, know that almost every second man wearing a hat chooses a brand from “Bary”. Therefore, it is no coincidence that the exhibition hall project has been realized in this city, where one can get acquainted with clothes samples from the designers tandem who have been working together for more than 10 years.
Bara and Ales first met while studying at the Design Department at the Technical University of Liberec. After graduation, they worked together and the long-awaited success came to them — “Top Styl Designer” at “STYL” and “KABO” international fairs of 2004. Since then, their outfits and accessories for clothing have been printed in such well-known magazines as “ELLE” and “Dolce Vita”, as well as in local fashion magazines.
The building itself, designed by Renata Kucherova (a relative of Alešbáry), created to showcase clothes and leather accessories. Suspended neon lamps serve a dual purpose — not only for lighting space, but also for holding and displaying clothes. All hats developed by Alešbáry are tailor-made, message cleverly communicated within the design via the large floating oak shelves stacked with aged timber head moulds. The contrast between shapes, wood grains and colors is magical, reinforced by an all-white minimal setting. In the adjacent workspace, antique furniture made of wood and solid wooden parquet adds depth to the overall design.
The exhibition hall is quite small and consists of several rooms, but visitors will be comfortable to view any of the specimens they liked. In a separate room there are samples of vintage furniture and modern wardrobes for storing clothes.
