Ukrainian architect Emil Dervish created a comprehensive reform project of the modern minimalist interior design apartment with a powerful image. The property belongs to a married couple who, due to work and travel once a month, do not spend too much time at home, but when they are still at home, they like cook together. Both of them also love the taste of open spaces and natural materials, the two key concepts in interior design of their home are present in this project.
Before repair, the apartment was divided into a bedroom, an unnecessary long corridor and closed balcony — too fragmented traditional distribution. The project has passed the spatial changes in the location of the old rooms, for example, in the bedroom a living room now, enjoying the large windows, kitchen became a dressing room.
The renovation combines open space of daytime area (living room, dining room and a kitchen), and the rest of the rooms are remain independent (bedroom with dressing room and bathroom, laundry and toilet).
The demand in the house materialized in a minimalist atmosphere with functional furnishings, where each object has its own space and the owners could relax and enjoy the tranquility. The white walls are a good background for the black items, which coexist with natural and warm skin tones and copper.
In addition to these natural materials, marble is used in a kitchen island and a bathroom, with it antibacterial properties. To maximize the spread of natural light Dervish placed a translucent partition between the bands, which also brings a lightness to the modern minimalist interior design.
