Design studio Form Bureau has created a restrained and luxury residence – a tranquility oasis for the family in the heart of the Moscow historical center. For a convenient stay large family three apartments have been combined . The main objective of the project was to create a relaxing and cozy interior that reflects the personality of the host.
The plan is a saturated system of common spaces, where strung spacious bedrooms are presented. Corridor that unites these premises is also considered as part of a functional living space. Getting rid of the monotony and helping to expand its mirror, the introduction of elements of color and glazing of the adjoining premises.
Warm texture of oak and walnut combined with light turquoise predominate in the palette, which can be obvious in the main spaces. The combination of the wood warm texture and natural stone cold surfaces creates a feeling of restrained respectability. Unique pieces of free-standing and built-in furniture have been developed for each room. Every detail has been carefully designed and conceptualized in the context of the further history of the place and object function. All this clearly gives a taste of the Soviet spirit, which brings a depth to the whole project.
This is ultimately an apartment that was designed to be lived in but lived in well; with each space and each detail within the space optimized for a specific purpose and in keeping with the general narrative that runs through the environment as a whole.
